While Britney Spears was having her latest breakdown and getting rushed to hospital, her best friend/cousin Ali Sims was enjoying life in New York.
Former personal assistant/constant companion/aspiring singer Ali has since denied reports that her absence from the weekend scene does not mean that her relationship with Britney has soured.
Ali, who is frequently pictured with Britney, says that there are no problems in her friendship with the fallen pop star.
She told Us Weekly magazine, "These claims are ridiculous. I had plans for a girls weekend, and my friends had already flown into town to meet up with me. Yes, I continued with my plans that included going to dinner and a club. How was I to predict what would happen the weekend I was gone?"
"As far as having a falling out with anyone, that is simply not true. I love Britney, and care way more about her well-being than any of these strangers making these claims."
Britney lost her visitation rights with her children after her meltdown, which allegedly involved her locking herself in a room with youngest son Jayden James.
