Longtime pal and regular co-star of Adam Sandler, Allen Covert, was arrested on the set of the latest Sandler film after allegedly attacking a photog.
The two were on location in Los Angeles filming "Bedtime Stories" on Monday when Covert allegedly spit on the photographer and tried to knock the camera out of his hand, claiming that the pap was trying to film him and his child. The photographer was reportedly standing on the sidewalk snapping pictures outside of the high school where the movie is currently being filmed. The co-star was charged with battery.
According to TMZ, the altercation was witnessed by Adam Sandler and his other co-stars in the film, Courtney Cox-Arquette and Guy Pearce.
Covert has starred in numerous films with Sandler including The Wedding Singer, Mr. Deeds, Anger Management, Big Daddy and 50 First Dates. Covert also frequently writes for Sandler's films and comedy albums.
