The red carpet leading into the Kodak Theatre on Sunday night wasn't just about what everyone was wearing. It was also about how the stars were acting, including some strange behavior from actor Gary Busey.
Busey interrupted an interview that E! host Ryan Seacrest was conducting with actress Jennifer Garner. Busey came up and said hello to Garner and then surprised Garner by hugging her tightly. He surprised her even more by kissing her on the neck.
Garner was flustered after the encounter with Busey and even joked with Seacrest that she was wondering where husband Ben Affleck was at the moment.
Busey pulled a few more antics during the evening when he encouraged the crowd to cheer loudly for actor Mickey Rooney. Busey pulled Rooney up onto the grandstand and pointed at him and tried to get the crowd to cheer louder.
According to People.com, when Busey was asked after the Oscars about his red carpet show he said, "It's about having fun. The idea is to suit up and show up."
Busey was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Oscar in 1978 for "The Buddy Holly Story."
