Actor Ewan McGregor is now speaking out for the first time about his scare with skin cancer.

McGregor says he is now been given the all-clear following the scary diagnosis. He was given the news about the deadly disease after going to a regular check-up with his doctor. He then underwent surgery to remove several malignant moles on his face.

The "Star Wars" actor has not disclosed when he dealt with the disease, but rumors are that he reportedly had surgery in February of 2007.

McGregor has now fully recovered from the scare and is convinced that it was "not that big of a deal."

He says, "I just went to have them checked, you have to be careful if you're pale skinned and you spend time in the sun, with moles. So I went to see a specialist who thought they were better to be removed, and indeed, he was correct."

McGregor is currently filming the movie "I, Lucifer" with co-star Daniel Craig. He resides in London with his wife and three daughters.
