Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has received the endorsement of action star Sylvester Stallone.

"I like McCain a lot," Stallone said on Fox News on Thursday. "You know, things may change along the way, but there's something about matching the character with the script. And right now, the script that's being written and reality is pretty brutal and pretty hard-edged like a rough action film, and you need somebody who's been in that to deal with it."

McCain, who is campaigning in Florida ahead of the state's January 29 primaries, responded to the endorsement by saying: "Look out Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone's coming after you, and he's gonna get ya! Chuck, you can run, but you can't hide."

The Republican hopeful was criticized earlier by action star Chuck Norris, who endorsed former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, for being too old for the presidency. The four-term senator had jokingly replied that he may have to send his 95-year-old mother to "wash Chuck's mouth out with soap."
