John Stamos' reputation may have to go to the "E.R." after his press tour of Australia.
The former "Full House" star made a bad impression on the Australian public, insulting journalists and slurring his way through interviews. John, who was Down Under to promote the new season of "E.R." blamed his weird and erratic behavior on jetlag... but some disagree.
First, the hunky actor slurred his way through a press conference. After an article was written in Sydney newspaper The Daily Telegraph the following day, John was not impressed.
It was his appearance on "Mornings With Kerri-Anne" that was finally too much for the network that flew him out. John accused one journalist of having small genitals and urged the country's Greek community to boycott the paper.
While on air, he handled props in an inappropriate way, refused to answer questions and concluded the segment talking about the late Princess Diana.
John said, "Who else has died? My career after coming to Australia."
Host Kerri-Anne Kennerley, who had to take control of John throughout the interview, said, "It was a bit like he'd perhaps come from a hotel mini-bar in true Hollywood style."
However, John's camp continues to insist that a punishing travel schedule has left him exhausted.
A statement was released saying, "John has been travelling extensively for the past few weeks in Greece, Egypt and Tokyo and had a difficult time adjusting to the time difference in Australia, which, in turn, led to many sleepless nights.
"He acknowledges that his behavior was completely out of character during these interviews and apologizes."
