50 Cent demands $500,000 to perform at a private party. The hip-hop star was paid the enormous fee for just 30 minutes work the last time he rapped at a private bash, to celebrate a Jewish boy reaching the age of maturity.
50 insists he isn't prepared to appear for anything less than the staggering fee.
He told Blender magazine: "The last bar mitzvah I booked, I got paid $500,000 for 30 minutes. That's not a fixed rate, but it's in the ballpark."
50 is not the only music star making a fortune from private performances.
The Rolling Stones charge an astonishing $8 million per show - making them the most expensive party music act in the world.
American band The Eagles come a close second in the price per performance stakes, charging $7.5 million. Canadian singer Celine Dion demands $6.6 million for a private show and Sir Elton John asked one British multi-millionaire to pay him $2 million to play at his wedding reception.
Further down the scale, Beyonce Knowles offers her services for $130,000.
